On September 3, 2026 Elder Nicole Jordan and Pastor Melanie dropped off school supplies generously donated by our congregation to our mission partner James Tillman Elementary School. Each year we look forward to having the joy of meeting the needs of the students and educators at Tillman. Our congregation lovingly donates supplies and monetary gifts to purchase much needed school supplies. Our commitment to supporting families in Palmetto is one of the many values that we are called to as the Body of Christ. Our church wishes to encourage educators who dedicate their days to loving our children and helping to shape who they are. We are grateful to partner with them.
We are looking forward to welcoming the garden enthusiasts of Palmetto and community vendors a like for our Open House. Congregation members are encouraged to come and meet our community and outreach partners.
We provide Vacation Bible School (VBS) to our community to support families. This year we served over 20 kids. It was a memorable event with lasting impact!

Palmetto Presbyterian Church is deeply committed to community outreach. We have an ongoing relationship with Tillman Elementary School providing school supplies each summer. Other outreach expressions of our church include our thrift store, 10th Avenue Thrift Store, the North River Care Pregnancy Center, the East Coast Migrant Head Start Project, More to Life, Beth-El Farmworkers Ministry Inc. and assisting the local homeless community with their basic needs.

Our thrift store is open Tuesday through Saturday from 12-3 PM. You can use credit and debit cards or cash. We have monthly specials and “pop-up deals” each week.
Our Thrift Store supports our Outreach Missions throughout our community.
Feeding Our Homeless Neighbors
We provide lunch and hygiene items for our homeless neighbors. Thank you to all who donate food, hygiene items and funds along with those who prepare the meals.

Our School Supplies ministry
Joan, Jeff and Nicole delivered 2 carloads of school supplies to Tillman Elementary School on September 12th. A monetary donation was also delivered for the teachers and staff to use for additional needs. Thank you to our generous congregation!!
Thank you to our amazing congregation for the tremendous support of our school supply drive for James Tillman Elementary School here in Palmetto! They were very appreciative and said it's an amazing help to the teachers, children and their families.

Our christmas ministry
Historically, we have in collected and donated supplies to Tillman Elementary School midyear in January when supplies are in need of replenishing.
This December we'd like your support once again in lieu of Christmas toys. Thanks to the Marine Corps supplying toys last year we have more than enough to cover the children at the East Coast Migrant Head Start Program this year.
We have participated in Angel Tree ministries in the past and hope to continue.
Our Outreach Continues
All of our outreach ministries continue as we do our part to remember the teachings of Jesus Christ which instructs us to feed the hungry and help the vulnerable populations in our community as an expression of God’s love.
East Coast Head Start Migrant Center
Our Sweatshirt Ministry benefitting the children of the Head Start Migrant Center.
Head Start feeds approximately 61 children, ages newborn to 5 years old, breakfast and lunch while their parents work in the fields. We have been involved in this ministry for over 2 years and it is very special. All foods must be non-perishable and include canned, boxed and packaged foods for breakfast and lunch meals. In addition, children’s toiletries such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo etc., for children are very helpful.
Once again, the same suggestion applies here. Just indicate “Migrant Children” on your check.
Your support of any or all three of these outreach ministries will make a big impact on the people who are so often ignored or forgotten. Thank you for your faithful support.
