Community Garden News

The next Volunteer Workday for the garden is Saturday November 15th starting at 8 AM and ending at 10 AM.  With the Florida sun, it is not expected that you work a full 2 hours.  Please just come and work for as long as you are comfortable.  If you have some garden tools and gloves, bring them along.  If not, there will be some available at the garden.  As before, some “healthy” snacks will be provided.

Remember cardboard, plants, flowers or vegetables are needed for the garden.   They can be brought anytime and left at the gate, just inside if possible.  Also, if you want something planted in the garden, when it is harvest time, they will be yours to take home or give to others.

If you would like to have a garden plot, there are some available.  If you are interested, please call the church office at (941) 722-3513.  The church office hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 11AM to 4 PM.  If you get voice mail, please leave a message with your name, phone number and that you are calling about the garden and we will get back to you.
